Ho Chi Minh City opens the exhibition

The Vice Chairman of the Mr.Duong Anh Duc City People's Committee and delegates visited the booth.

(Thanhuytphcm.vn) - The exhibition "Honoring Vietnamese Goods in 2023" with the theme "Vietnamese Goods Facing the World" was organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Business Association in collaboration with the City Trade and Investment Promotion Center (ITPC) on the morning of August 16 at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (Secc).

Attending and speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Duong Anh Duc, Member and Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, emphasized that the exhibition "Honoring Hang Viet in 2023" is held annually by the City Business Association to create conditions for businesses to meet, find partners, brokers, potential buyers, grasp the needs and trends of goods, promote brands, and care about domestic products. At the same time, it is also an opportunity to identify Vietnamese goods to help create trust and priority among consumers.

According to the Vice Chairman of the Duong Anh Duc City People's Committee, besides propagating for consumers to raise consumer awareness of Vietnamese goods, one of the key contents of the city's socio-economic recovery and development program is still to accompany businesses, support businesses to overcome difficulties, focus on investment stimulus programs to support small and medium enterprises to innovate technology, increase competitiveness, promote digital transformation through e-commerce applications, perfect the distribution system, and diversify the market. Especially encouraging the production of "green and circular" products to promote the business model in the direction of green growth, turning into a general trend towards evaluation criteria for Vietnamese products

"City leaders always appreciate the efforts of businesses and entrepreneurs, focusing on leaders at all levels and sectors, with administrative procedure reform as the focus in state management, creating an open investment environment for businesses. The city also clearly expressed the view that the domestic market plays a key role, leading functional units to support businesses to consume Vietnamese goods, not only giving priority to creating resources for state units but also for associations and professional associations, Deputy Chairman of the City People's Committee Duong Anh Duc emphasized.

Chairman of the City Business Association, Nguyen Ngoc Hoa, said that the Exhibition Fair "Honoring Vietnamese Goods" up to this year is the 15th time. This year's fair brought together 285 booths and trading hands from 150 participating enterprises, an increase of 25% compared to 2022, representing the majority of strong brand units such as food processing, textiles, footwear, household plastics, handicrafts, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, tourism, etc.In particular, there is an area to display and introduce products from key industries in Ho Chi Minh City and the B2B Trade Connection Festival. Thereby, shoppers and consumers have the opportunity to identify quality products, key products of the city, and prestigious Vietnamese brands.

The exhibition "Honoring Vietnamese Goods in 2023" took place from August 16–18, 2023, at Secc.
